However, I as I am perusing to upgrade for this year I noticed Quickbooks Pro 2020 is under $500 on many popular office supply sites (Staples & Office Depot) that offer a key for download or include the actual disc.
In 2017 we purchased "1 Intuit Quickbooks Pro Download 3 One Time" download direct from Quickbooks for nearly $600. The website indicates pricing for monthly subscription to upgrade but we prefer to purchase the software outright as we have never noticed any added value in keeping up with the most current "new features" there simply does not seem to any actual benefit to us. We are aware that upgrades are required every 3 years to maintain the payroll subscription. We received a message indicating we must upgrade by May 2020 or will no longer be unable to continue using our payroll subscription. We have Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2017 with a 3 user license and Payroll subscription add-on.
